Nevada Quarters
Las Vegas
Somewhere, deep in the heart of the Las Vegas Hilton is one of the newest theme casino/ride/product placement, Star Trek The Experience. At the end of the ride you are deposited in a very handy Star Trek memorabilia shop, which, to my delight, included two quarter smashers, each with 3 dies. At a buck a piece, they aren't the deal that your typical penny smasher is, but what the heck, I was up for the night.
Hey, I don't know a whole lot about Star Trek. I mean I always enjoyed the original and I have seen Next Generation, but most of the spinoff details are lost on me. This is one I recognized: "The United Federation of Planets"
"USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D" This looks like the STNG version of our favorite starship.
"Star Trek Voyager" I have no idea about this one, maybe I'll ask Byron about it, he's the one who wanted to go to the "Experience."
"USS Enterprise NCC-1701" Hey! This is the Enterprise I remember!
"Deep Space Nine" Is this show still on?
"Star Trek The Experience - Las Vegas Hilton" If I could tell you how to get to the penny smasher without going through The Experience I would, but the thing was so disorienting I feel lucky I ever made it out of the Hilton. Awww, what the heck, spring the 14 bucks, the ride is worth it.
Reno
When you're inside a casino, there's no night, no day, no north, no south, no east or west. I can't tell you exactly where I got these or how to get there except that they were inside on the way from the Silver Legacy to Circus Circus...on second thought, that's pretty darned descriptive.
"Circus Circus Reno" As you can see, Circus Circus has all the necessary accoutrements for the sophisticated gambler...and acrobats too!
"The Ore Company - Circus Circus Reno Nevada" I think this is the store that the machine is in front of, but I'm not sure.
"Circus Circus VIP Club Reno" I am definitely a member, after all, I got the quarter didn't I?
